“C.S. Lewis and the Nature of Friendship” – Lewis had a remarkable capacity for friendship. Why? Lewis once wrote, “There are no ordinary people. You never meet a mere mortal.” Lewis practiced what he preached. Everybody seemed to matter to him: from taxi drivers to BBC broadcasters; from academics to gardeners; from poets to barbers; Lewis had the capacity to make friends from all walks of life. What was it about the man that made this true of him? And of us?
