Sarah Arthur is a founding board member, along with her husband Tom, of the Northern Michigan C. S. Lewis Festival. She helped kick off events in 2004 with the joint lecture “Why Lewis?” given with friend and fellow board-member Suzanne Shumway at North Central Michigan College, and followed this in 2006 with a joint lecture on the friendship of Tolkien and Lewis, as seen through their letters.

A former full-time youth director of Petoskey United Methodist Church, Sarah now writes religious resources for young people, including the bestselling devotional Walking with Frodo and the 2005 release Walking through the Wardrobe: A Devotional Quest Into The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (Tyndale). She currently serves as a consultant to the Lewis Festival Board. Sarah and her husband Tom live in Durham, North Carolina where they are graduate students at Duke Divinity School.
